Recently, the collaborative project between Zhuzhou Shuangling Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shuangling Technology") and Laiwu Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Laigang Group")—an atomization powder production line—has been operating continuously, stably, and efficiently. This facility provides core equipment support for Laigang Group’s "Annual Output of 100,000 Tons of High-Performance Special Alloy Powder Materials Project," thereby demonstrating Shuangling Technology’s technical prowess in the field of metal atomization powder equipment. Furthermore, it marks a solid step forward for both parties in fostering collaborative development within the high-end powder metallurgy industry.

As a state-level high-tech enterprise, Shuangling Technology specializes in the design, R&D, and manufacturing of non-standard equipment. In recent years, the company has focused specifically on the R&D and production of thermal processing equipment—including metal atomization powder systems and high-temperature vacuum furnaces—leveraging its deep technical expertise, rigorous quality control, and extensive project experience. Consequently, it has emerged as a major force within China's metal atomization equipment sector. Additionally, the company serves as a supplier of manufacturing equipment for China's nuclear power and aerospace industries, maintaining close cooperative ties with numerous key national laboratories. Its products have been exported to various countries and regions—including Singapore, Japan, and the United States—earning widespread recognition throughout the industry.

Shuangling Technology’s partner in this collaboration, Laigang Group, was established in January 1970. It is a massive integrated steel enterprise boasting total assets of 62 billion RMB and an annual steel production capacity exceeding 10 million tons. Moreover, it stands as China’s largest powder metallurgy production base in terms of both scale and added value. Its subsidiary, Laiwu Iron & Steel Group Powder Metallurgy Co., Ltd., possesses robust production capabilities, with an annual output capacity of 80,000 tons of reduced iron powder and 60,000 tons of water-atomized iron and steel powder. It is one of China’s largest and most comprehensive steel powder manufacturers—notably, one of the few enterprises to simultaneously operate both reduction-based and atomization-based powder production lines. Ranked alongside Sweden’s Höganäs AB, Canada’s Quebec Metal Powders, and Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation, it is recognized as one of the world's "Big Four" powder metallurgy manufacturers, occupying a pivotal position within the global powder metallurgy landscape.

In 2017, leveraging its core competencies in inert gas atomization technology, Shuangling Technology successfully forged a partnership with Laigang Group to jointly construct an inert gas atomization production line. As the primary ancillary equipment for Laiwu Steel Group’s "Annual Output of 100,000 Tons of High-Performance Alloy Special Powder Materials" project, this production line undertakes the core task of preparing high-performance alloy special powders. Moreover, this project is designated as a key provincial-level construction project in Shandong, holding significant importance for driving the upgrading of regional high-end manufacturing and enhancing the core competitiveness of my country's powder metallurgy industry.

Reportedly, the gas atomization powder production line constructed by Shuangling Technology employs an advanced gas atomization process. This process involves evacuating the furnace chamber to create a vacuum, backfilling it with high-purity inert protective gas, and then melting pre-fabricated alloy rods to form a stream of molten droplets. These droplets are subsequently shattered by high-pressure inert gas jets, rapidly cooled, and solidified to ultimately produce high-quality metal powders. The resulting powders boast numerous advantages—including low oxygen content, fine particle size, narrow particle size distribution, high sphericity, and excellent flowability—making them widely applicable in high-end manufacturing sectors such as additive manufacturing, metal injection molding, and thermal spraying. This capability perfectly aligns with Laiwu Steel Group's production requirements for high-performance alloy special powders.

This in-depth collaboration with Laiwu Steel Group serves as a full testament to Shuangling Technology's technical prowess and brand influence, as well as a significant outcome of the synergistic development and mutual complementarity between the two parties. Shuangling Technology has fully leveraged its specialized expertise in the R&D and manufacturing of atomization powder production equipment to provide comprehensive technical support and equipment assurance for the production line. This support empowers Laiwu Steel Group to further expand its product portfolio of high-performance alloy special powders, boost production capacity and product quality, and consolidate its leading position within the global powder metallurgy sector. Concurrently, through this collaboration with an industry leader like Laiwu Steel Group, Shuangling Technology has broadened the application scenarios for its high-end equipment and gained invaluable experience in servicing large-scale projects—thereby laying a solid foundation for its continued deep engagement in the field of metal atomization powder equipment and for driving future technological upgrades within the industry.
